Repairs

Repair #1: I think that I have been in a funk lately. I've been really upset with hubby over his "laid back" personality. I mean, it got bad and I was at a very low point. Luckily, Elle urged me to talk to hubby and lay my heart out. It had nothing to do with how much I love him or anything like that... I just felt like I was doing ALL the work in this house. This included house work, making sure little things were done (call cable company, balance check book, grocery shopping, etc), dinner on weekends (we generally don't cook during the week as we pass each other between 5-5:30 pm and we only have the kids a couple of times a week for about an hour after school, so they just have a snack) and most importantly, if it were up to him... the kids would never do anything but play video games and it seemed like I was the only one caring about their grades. He made no effort with their school work, punishment or chore responsibility. So, I was thinking that if no one else cares, (y'all know their mother could not give a shit), then why should I? I was at rock bottom. After "the talk"... he has done a 180 and a major repair was made. He now realizes that he has to grow up and do what needs to be done. Being a step parent is the hardest thing that I have ever taken on and I don't advise it for anyone who does not have kids... but I am happy that my husband is seeing the light on so many things and my boys love and respect me. Thanks Elle for your help on that one; it was a biggie.

Repair #2

As you all well know by now, my husband is not the sharpest knife in the drawer (hate to throw him under the bus like that, but... it's kinda true) when it comes to electronics. After he left for work this evening, I retreated to my throne (the couch) to watch something that I Tivo'd last night when all of a sudden... I felt like I was watching TV while on acid. The color just flipped out and I could barely make out the picture. Son of a bitch!! The TV (Sony, 46 inches and not a flat screen tho it does have HD) is no less than 6 yrs old and no more than 7. Last summer, we had the picture tube replaced for $250.00 and it's broken again. I called J and he tried to act all "oh... that sucks" but I know he secretly wanted to pull into the next bar he passed and have a few shots in celebration. He has mentioned more than once in the last few months about getting a "new tv", so I know he is happy that thing hit the crapper. Question is: Should we buy a brand new one or have this one fixed again?

Repair #3
I had a root canal yesterday. The tooth was cracked and it hurt for anything cold or hot to hit it and I have been in pure misery for the last couple of weeks. The root canal was not too bad and after the numby wore off, it ached for a little while, then eased off. Today... RELIEF! Yeah!!!

Repair #4

You guys also remember me hurting my back in June. The tear is not yet healed as I still have some pain, but it is getting much better. I lost a baby back in May and sadly, this may be the reason why I have not concieved again. I was told by my chiro that my body is likely to reject the egg due to the injury as that part of the spine effects the "female organs." I know the odds are stacked agaist me with concieving again due to my age (I'll be 41 in a couple of weeks) and this injury... but I am hopeful

So, this year is starting off with some repairs... but it has a ton of promise.

J: I sent you an e-mail....we can go from there.

BEST and HOTTEST.....wow...I like that combo ;)

BTW....good advice Elle gave you on talking it out...surprisingly (ok..maybe not so;) I also have a tendency to think things get done 'magically'...that is until it is brought to my attention...then I'm pretty good....for awhile ;)

Get the new flat screen 140" HD TV!!!!! Sorry, I'm just a guy and I love a big screen TV. Blame Laura, Efen, Girl on my finding you :)

Ron: LOL You are now my hubby's best friend! He is soooooo excited about getting a new TV but keeps insisting that "This just sucks." Is that a guy thing?

Did you get the new TV then? I'm behind this week on reading (as you can tell). You'd be surprised how just being stubborn and determined can help with getting pregnant. Ask your OB for Clomid and get busy. You're not too old!
