Most of you all know what I do for a living. Repossession. After my field adjusters secure the units, I let the clients know and wait for an auction to send a transport company to get the unit back to the auction and ready for re-sale. I have a great relationship with ALL of my transporters and have only had one problem with one jackass in 9 years. Even that was no big deal.
This morning, a transporter called me, who has been here a few times before, called me and told me he was close to the lot to pick up a unit for Chrysler. Around 11:30 am, he showed. His name is Dale. He said that he had just came from another repo lot over in KY that is about 15 minutes from my lot. Here is the conversation:
Mr Pottymouth: "The guys over at AUR said that 'You show your boobs.'"
Me: "Who said that?"
Mr. PM: "A short, fat guy. I told them not to talk about you like that because you are now a married woman."
Me: I'm married now and pregnant! I can't believe Robby (he is a former employee who was kidding, but still should NOT have disrespected me like that) would say something like that."
Mr. PM: "Well, congratulations! But, maybe you should have swallowed."
I was appalled. Shocked. Floored. I stopped what I was doing and just stared at him.
Mr. PM: "Oh, maybe I should not have said that."
Me: "No, you absolutely should not have said that."
He kinda laughed and said,
Mr. PM: "Well, that's my personality."
Me: "I did not WANT to know you or your personality."
He signed his paperwork and went for the door. He stopped and turned and said...
Mr. PM: "I guess I am not going to get my boob shot, huh?"
Me: "No and you never will."
Again, mortified. I was just in a total state of shock. I wish I would have thrown him out of my office as soon as he made the swallow remark, but I was just so shocked. I just sat there. After he loaded up and left, I called the auction. I spoke to the manager of the transportation dept and told him that I was absolutely mortified, shocked, embarrassed over the rude, vile, vulgar remarks his driver had just made. I told him that what I had to tell him was not something that a lady should have to repeat, but I had to in order to explain what had happened. When I got to the swallow part, I said that line very slowly so that he could get the full understanding over what had just transpired. I was shaking all over at this point. I almost felt violated. I asked him if he understood that what was said was sexual harassment? He agreed. He said, "Please tell me you are kidding?" I raised my voice and said "Do I sound like I am kidding? DO you really think that a lady would make up something like that?
He apologized over and over and said that he would be dealt with and that the trucking company picked up 400 cars a week for them, but, he was not going to use them any longer. While I did not want the entire trucking company to loose the contract, I felt that something needed to be done with Mr. Potty-foul-mouth. He assured me that it would be dealt with. I told him that "If Dale ever steps a foot onto my property again, I would sue him, the Trucking company and the Auction for sexual harassment. And, I would win. Do you understand me? Are we clear?"
About an hour later, guess who calls? Mr. Pottymouth. He said that while he was loading he felt like he needed to come back inside and apologize for what he said because it was "Not in his character to say something like that." (Gee, he told me an hour before that it WAS his personality.) He wondered what he could do to make it up to me. "Nothing, I said." I reminded him of how vile and rude his comments were. He said that I would never have any more problems out of him again. I told him I know that I won't because if he ever stepped foot onto my property again, he would be sued for sexual harassment." He apologized again and I thanked him for the apology and told him to have a good day and hung up.
About an hour and half goes by, and Mr Auction calls me. I told him what happened and he assured me that Dale would no longer transport for them again. How can I really be sure of that though? I told the auction that I would be writing a letter to the owner of the auction and the trucking company.
I'm so infuriated. But, I know there is not much more I can do. Is a letter to the owners even gonna do anything? I can demand a written apology from both companies or I will call the client. I just don't know that to do.
I need advice guys!
PS. Dale just called me back again and told me that he was fired and apologized again. Somehow, I don't believe him. If he just got fired, why would he call me to apologize again? Something just ain't right here. HELP!

I am almost speechless about that. Holy shit! I am a very vulgar person but it would never cross my mind to speak to someone I didn't know like that. I think the most amazing thing to me is that he had the audacity to ask if he was gonna get his boob shot. WTF?
I say write the letters. I also agree with the fact that there is no way that he got fired if he called again to apologize. I am still sitting here shaking my head. Holy hell!
You did not need to deal with that today - or any day! Write the letters, continue making calls, and follow up on the situation the best you can. What a creep!

Geez....I can't fuckin believe someone would be so low class as to say those things to you.
This IS serious shit. What you can do is dependent on just how far you want to take it. If all you want is to make sure the moron loses his job (he should), then contact his employer and tell him you want something in writing stating that this is indeed the case. Tell him you want this in 3 Days...no later. Follow this telephone conversation up with a letter saying the same. Make sure you 'Cc' every company involved here, including your companies attorney...(you don't have to really 'Cc' him, just show it on the bottom). Include everything in this letter (what actually occured) and what his employer told you on your initial phone call to him.
If you get the letter from his employer, fine. If you don't, then I would contact a lawyer. Make sure you have dates and times of every person you spoke to yesterday, what you told them and what they said. Write up a detailed 'report' of exactly what happened, again with the date and approx. time. Also include the time of his 'apology'
Lawyers will jump all over this..after all, they get a cut.

While you know that I am the first one to jump on the "oh HELL no" bandwagon, I would like to remind you of your delicate condition. Yes, write the letters, make the calls, and then drop it. If that fucking moron doesn't get what he deserves from this, it surely isn't far off.
I just don't want his retarded behavior to cause you a bunch more stress. And if you're still pissed by the time you have little Honey Roasted, call me, and I'll come down there and beat somebody's ass.

Holy Shit J-Fab...We all know that your fabulous, but damn. He's lucky you didn't slap him across the face. And your right, if he got fired, why would he be calling you? This doesn't make sense. Write the company a really strong letter, I'll help you if you want, I write nasty I'm gonna sue your ass letters for a living and let it go. Not to mention the fact that your husband, might flip shit when he hears it, and thats going to add to your stress.

Thanks for all of the comments on Mr Pottymouth. I kept thinking all night if that stupid pervert was lying to me or not, so this morning, I called my contact at the auction. The first thing she said was "I am so sorry over what happened yesterday. He got fired for it and he should have." I asked her if that was the truth or were they just trying to pacify me? She assured me that it was true and she was the one who just suggested that he not come back to my lot and the auction rep said that they would not put up with that type of behavior. He said that he gave the transport company the option of firing him or loosing the whole contract.
I will still write the letter, demanding a written apology and the assurance that the asswipe was fired just to feel better about the whole situation.
Now, if only I could was off how dirty it made me feel with soap and water!
