Can't bring myself to do it.....

It's been a while! I am so bad for not posting before now. I don't know how you mother's out there do it! I am having so much fun with her though! Baby Fab is now 7 weeks old and just a little lamb. Nothing in this world is any sweeter than when she smiles at me! She is starting to slobber a little and follow me with her eyes. Taking her to work is still working out ok.... but, I know I have get a sitter very soon. I had to be in KY for a week and a half for training last week and she stayed with my mom during the day. Mom had a hard time with her because she is not used to being with me (or the boob). We had a good visit with the family and they all got to spend alot of time with Baby Fab. My parents really wanted me to go to church (If you felt a small rumble, I hope you weren't alarmed... it was me walking into a church!) and I was a nervous wreck but went anyway. People were very nice and only one crazy lady asked to hold her. Can you believe people actually ask? I would never ask to hold someone's baby. Ever. I didn't want to make the Lord mad in his own house, so I let her. I made her go wash her hands and even put on sanitizer. Figured she would get mad and not to it.... but she practically ran to the bathroom and back. I even asked her if she was in anyway sick. She WAS NOT giving up on holding my baby. Mom said she was harmless and it would be ok. I let her for like a minute. Hey... at least I let her!

Getting back to my title, I can't bring myself to take this down:

Photobucket

I know.. crazy. I have a little plastic tote in the closet in her room and keep putting special things into it that I can't bring myself to let go. I will keep EVERYTHING!

We have been sooo blessed with what people have bought or given to us. You girls (and Efen) have been wonderful. All of the love and support (and cute gifts) have just made me feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world. I love you guys so much! I want to thank Elle for getting me on this blog because without it... I would not have each and everyone of you guys! sniff sniff.

Here is Baby Fab on her first Trick or Treat night:
Photobucket

Ok... what would a post be without a rant?

Last night was trick or treat night. It was very warm outside, so my neighbor, Tonya, and I sat out on my porch and handed out candy. The kids were so dang cute. Notice, I said KIDS..... do you have any idea how many ADULTS came to TOT (trick or treat)? A freakin blue million. WTF????? It's for kids!!!! I had one couple come with an infant (3 months or less) and held out their bucket!!! And to beat all.... the dad was in a Winnie the Pooh costume!!! Give me a fucking break. Grow the fuck up. I'm all for dressing up on Halloween and all... but for crying out loud.... a 3 month old does not need Tootsie Rolls and Lollipops! It's for their sorry asses! I just wanted to tell them that, too. I didn't though. I was a good girl. Seriously. Fucking people. Dumb ones at that.

All right... enough for now.... Baby Fab is in her craddle (I will really cry when she outgrows that!) and sound asleep and I need to be asleep, too. She is doing really well nursing and sleeping at night. Believe it or not.... I haven't lost a whole lot of sleep. Oh yeah, she gets some shots on Monday! I somehow think that I will cry more! I'll let you know.

Happy Halloween!!!

On the mend

Hey y'all! I'm so sorry I have not been in real contact since Baby Fab made her arrival. This will be kinda short and the grammer will be poor. (PILLS ARE GOOD!!!!) Things have been kinda blurry. On Sat, my tummy was very sore and tender. Sunday, above my c-section, there started to form a red, hot infection spot. I called Dr and he said to come Monday morn. Sun nite, I got a temp, and had flu like symptoms. I went to Dr on Monday and it was now 10 times worse. He told me it was cellulitis and gave me anti bio and said he will see me on Wed. By Tues night, the entire area above and below the site and spreading down my right leg, the surgery scar was massively hot and swollen. I mean there was a mountain of inf. and it was really painful. I could not even stand up straight. I cried I was so sore. I mean, killing me would have been an option. My neighbor, who is an OB nurse, came over that night and said that it would prob pop open. Well, when I got up to take shower on Wed for Dr appt, it did. It started out as a little hole. I pressed on it and it opened more. I screamed for Jamie, terrified, and my neighbor came over. She said it was good that it ruptured. It took 3 hand towels before I could dress enough to get to Dr. Dr took one look at me and said he was admitting me. He worked on me more in his office and then he took some inst. and opened me up more! Ummm, yeah, it was soooo painful and I cried and cried. I took that without numb meds. He sent me home to get my things and I cried the whole way cause I had to leave Baby Fab. I called my mom to come and help. The rest of yesterday, I just rested. This morn, he came in and wanted to open me up more, but I insisted on numby meds. It helped some, but he went past here the numby ended. He took hemostats and scissors and literally, cut me back open. I took it again b/c I have to get better to get home to my sweet girl. I feel much better this afternoon. I can actually move around without crying in pain. I get to go home tomorrow and I am so happy. It has been very heart breaking to be away from my sweet girl, but I was getting to the point to where I was just unable to take care of her I was so bad off. I was exhausted, too. By tomorrow, I should be back up to par. Because of the strength of the anti bio, I am unable to give the milk to Baby Fab. So, I have to pump and dump. The baby did not have to take the formula until today and I am not sure how long it will be again until I can breast feed. Hopefully, she will take it back. She is a healthy little eater, too!

Let me just go ahead and tell you.... there is NOTHING in my life that will ever compare to when I saw her for the first time. Nothing. She is the most perfect little angel. I would go through this again 10 times to have her again. She has her days and nights mixed up and I am doing everything that I can (well, that's kinds shot right now with me being in here!) to get her on a schedule. She is IMPOSSIBLE to wake up when I need her to, but thanks to Momma (bath her alot!) and Gigi (swaddle her at night) I have been able to get more. Suggestions are always welcome!

I better run before I fall asleep on this laptop! Thank you so much for your prayers and concerns. I love you guys!

Happy Birthday, BabyFab!

She's heeeeeeeeeere!

Hi everyone, it's Elle guest-blogging for Jenny Fabulous. She had one or two more important things to do today and asked me to fill in while she tended to this little peanut .

I DIE!

How is it possible that this adorable little butterbally slice of sweetness emerged from her gerd-having, non-water drinking, death-ray flipping mama I'll never know. But...she's finally here, and even though I haven't been able to see her for myself yet, I'm assured that she is perfectly perfect, and that she and mommy are both doing wonderfully :) I can't wait to smell her sweet baby head!

Jen had a scheduled c-section this morning and BabyFab was born at 10:41 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs., 13 oz. and hit the height chart at 19 inches. She's already a supermodel! I'm not yet sure who she looks like, but I'm pretty sure it's me. And, although Jenny and I are cousins and not sisters, I've determined that I shall be called Auntie Elle. We might as well be sisters, because no one else on Earth could be a more supportive, loving cousinsisterfriend than she is. And God knows her "real" aunts are all batshit crazy, but that's part of their charm and we love 'em for it anyway :)

Ok, seriously (no, really!)....

Y'all can't imagine how important Jennifer has been to me my entire life, but especially the last few years. I know how much she's wanted this little nugget for a long, long time. BabyFab is truly a miracle and a blessing to our entire family, and I pledge to be the best, most supportive, most protective, most FUN "Aunt" ever...and with that said, I really want her to know....

I love you, BabyFab, already. Welcome to our crazy, fabulous world :)

Baby Fab's new digs.....

Hey guys.... I wanted to first, say thank you for all of the help on her name (BTW..it's not Katherine! That was just an example.) I know hubby was very happy that you ALL agreed with him. LOL Second, for the kind words about my hair. Here's a update: I got up yesterday morn and still felt like it was gaped. I did not have time to go back to see her until around 2:30. When I went in, Linda (shop owner and the one who cut my hair last time) had a customer in her chair, but Candice Edward Scissorhands was there and luckily, did not have a customer. I asked her if I could speak to her in private outside. When we went out, I told her that I loved the idea of the short cut and I was just not some hormonal pregnant lady, but felt like the right side of my hair was gaped. I told her that I asked my neighbors and they agreed and I just wanted her to see. She was very sweet and started to examine my hair when she said in a soft voice.... "I'm so sorry... I did gap your hair. I can see it and I am sooo sorry. When you left yesterday, Linda told me some things that I could have done differently." I just about died right there. She knew when I left that she jacked up my hair. (It was really hard to see in the picture that I posted).

I said, "There is not a lot you can do now is there without going shorter, is there?" She replied, "No and I am so very sorry. Thank you so much for coming back and giving me the chance; I know you did not have to do that." I got into her chair and all she could do was take a little off the left side. It still was gaped. She kept apologizing and said that I never had to come back and she understood. She finally said that that was all she could do and she was going to Linda to see if she could do anything. Linda came over and she told her that she had gaped my hair yesterday and asked if there was anything more that they could do.

Linda: I think it looks adorable.
ES: No, I gaped it.
Me: Can you NOT see the gap?
Linda: Well, it's like the picture.
Me: NO! IT IS NOT!
At this point, I was infuriated. ES admitted her mistake and was very apologetic, the least she could do was agree cause that bitch knew damn good and well that ES jacked up my hair. I was ready to slit her neck with those scissors.

I told her that there was nothing that could be done without going shorter and that I guess for all my baby pictures that were getting ready to be taken, I would have to wear a headband. Her reply? "You'll be off work for a while and it will grow back out quick because of the pre-natal vitamins that you are taking." I WAS ABOUT READY TO LAY THAT BITCH OUT. I could see the look of shame on ES face, but she didn't say anything. I thanked them and left.
SO, instead of getting a haircut to take me away from the bob, which I have had for years... what did I end up with? A bob. snif snif. I wanted to turn around and tell Linda that I would not be back because of her attitude and not ES fucking incompetence as a hairdresser and she needs to keep a closer eye on her new girl so that this does not happen again and she looses more customers.... but.. I didn't cause then she would just say that I am just hormonal because I am 9 months pregnant. It was best to take the high road and just thank them and leave.

Sorry this is long... I wanted to post a couple of pics of Baby Fab's new digs...
This is her bed the ETW gave us and we are soooo in love with it! Big shout out to her for this sweet gift!

OMG... This is what Elle gave us..... I die!!!!! It is a Sterling silver train set and the cars are snow globes! The first two cars hold a little drawer for her first curl and tooth. The engine is a Teddy Bear that sits on a pillow and he holds a heart that will have her name engraved. LOVES IT! The chair had green cushions and I had it re-upholstered with material that matches the swag over her shelves.

Her shelves (notice the little tiny tow truck on the last shelf and her first doll, given by Elle, is on the left.

This picture makes me tear up EVERY SINGLE time I see it:

These words I found at Michael's and just repainted them...

The circles came from Michael's too, I painted them the colors in her bumper set. I have since added a few more dark red ones to give it a little more pop... it turned out really cute. They hang above her changing table.

I guess that I am as ready as I will ever be! We are on the 6 day countdown and I feel great. Today is my last day working in my office.... I will work from home Tues and Wed. I want to thank you ALL for all of the unconditional love and support that you have given me. All of the good advice (ummm... don't go anywhere.... I still need all of you!)
This was taken today. Have a great weekend, y'all!

I cry like baby right now.....

I've been thinking about a new haircut for a while, just didn't know what I wanted. The other night, I was channel surfing and saw this show called Defying Gravity and this girl with the cutest haircut. I thought, "Well, it's short, so I'll just think about it for a while." Everyday for a week I thought about the cut and decided to call this morning with an appt. She's busy and a good stylist and thought it would take a few days to get in (and, if I had the baby before the appt., it wasn't meant to be.) I was surprised when I was told to come in in an hour because she had a cancellation. Perfect. Keep in mind that I have only been to this woman once a couple of months ago and she gave me a haircut that I really liked. I used to go to Charleston to a girl for a few yrs and just got tired of driving an hour to get there, so I wanted someone closer. I asked around and was directed to Linda. When I got there, I noticed a new girl and it was looking like she was cutting my hair. I wasn't concerned at first and when we started talking, I found out that she just graduated a month ago. I was about to die and my heart started racing. I just thought that Linda would never hire someone who was not competent. I let her start and just thought to myself... "No chit chat with this girl... let her concentrate."

Here are the pictures that I presented to her:

And here is what I got:

And, after:

I cry like baby!!!! Ummmm, hello???? My 11 yr old could have done this! It is NOT what I expected. At. All. The left side of the cut looks fine... but the right side just looks too long and not right.

No need to cry I guess... it's hair and it will grow back, right? sniff sniff

Need advice from you guys!!!

First, sorry I have been MIA lately. I haven't even been a lurker! : (

Anyways.... as most of you know, we are keeping the baby's name a secret until she is born. Hubby and I have had a hard time deciding on a name. There have been a couple for each of us that we have veto'd and it's not been that big of a deal. But, there is one name that we both love. Let's say that we both like the name Katie. I want to just go ahead and name her that, but hubby wants her birth cert to say "Katherine". I know that I will not call her that and just LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Katie. He does too, but wants the cert to say Katherine. Do I give in and just say ok or hold to my ground. And, BTW, he is holding his ground for "Katherine." Lovingly, of course. Keep in mind that my husband lets me have my way at almost EVERYTHING and doesn't ask for anything from me. He's very laid back. Is it that big of a deal? After all, I do like the name.

My DR has decided that we need to do a C-Section due to my past medical history and guys... the whole idea of vaginal delivery scares me to death. Seriously. I'm in no way kidding. I don't know why it terrifies me so, but it does. At first it was just my idea and the Dr agreed. Then, after we started talking about the reasons, my Dr said he was very glad that I told him and said that he for sure 100% needed a c-section. We are scheduling it when I go on Monday for Sept 10! That's 2 weeks from tomorrow. I am very nervous, but so excited. I am not miserable (yet) but it's so awkward getting around and forget about bending over! LOL The only way to see my who-ha is to look at it in a mirror. Hubby and I just laugh.

I feel better about alot of worries that I had and just had to realize that what ever happens, it's in God's hands. In the event that she comes earlier, Elle will be in charge of my blog, Facebook and Twitter, so keep watching!

People are C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!

I know how y'all like a good repo story. Here's another one.

My other office, it's in KY, had a little incident last week that snowballed into this:
Photobucket

Last week, they rec'd an account to repo a voluntary surrender (this is when someone calls the bank and tells them to come and get it because they can't/don't want to pay for it any longer) on a Toyota Tacoma. What is it with Toyota Tacomas and crazy people? Remember what happened to my office a few months ago with a Tacoma? Click here for a refresher. Anyways, they get out there and the deceased's brother has the truck now. He is an old man that has terminal cancer and very sick and has to use one of those voice things (I don't know what they are called) to speak. He gets irate with the agent and tells them to basically, piss off. It was his brother's truck and he did not get anything in his will, so he is keeping the truck. Agent doesn't say anything to him and leaves. We call the client and they instruct the agent to turn it into an involuntary repossession and go back and just take the vehicle. So, later that night, he returns to the property and secures the unit while the man is in bed. I know this seems harsh, but, it is not his vehicle. Heck, my two vehicles that hubby and I drive are not ours... they belong to the bank!

The next morning, the KY crew is in their office doing paperwork when this guy drives into their storage lot (the gates are wide open) and jumps into the truck and tries to leave! Her agents went out there and blocked him in and told him to get out of the vehicle, but, he was not leaving. The old man told them to move or he would run them over! They finally convince him to get out and leave before they had to call the police. We thought this was the end of the story. WRONG!

Monday morning at around 1:30 am, the Fire Dept was banging on the office manager's door telling her her lot was in flames. (She thought that her office building was on fire.) Her b/f is one of her agents, so they get dressed and go down there to find 5 vehicles engulfed (they had exploded as well) and 3 more have heat damage. If you look closely at the photo, the truck in the middle is the Toyota. They had blocked it in on all sides in case he tried to take it again and there is a vehicle in front of the Toyota that you can't see. The police and fire dept asked her if anyone had a grievance and she told them about the Toyota acct. Coincidentally, the fire started with that vehicle.

Jimminey Christmas. People are crazy! This office also had several vehicles damaged by a flash flood back in May. Good thing we have good insurance, but the deductible per car is $500 with a 5 car max. So, we were out $2500 in May and now, another $2500.

I need my own show, huh???
